Investment Advisor Searches

We lead customized Request-For-Proposal (RFP) searches to help you find the right strategic partner to drive financial return and mission-aligned impact.

Approach

Mission-driven organizations are increasingly looking for a strategic partner to manage their investments for return and alignment with mission and program priorities. Our search process is customized to each client, working closely with your search committee to move through four phases that typically lasts 6-9 months:

  • Discovery: Through stakeholder interviews, we help you define search priorities and desirable candidate qualifications. Board education and consensus building sessions may be incorporated. We generate clearly defined search objectives, selection criteria, and profiles of qualified prospective candidates.

  • Develop RFP: Working closely with your search committee, we facilitate the selection of RFP recipients (7 or less recommended), draft a detailed request-for-proposal, develop an evaluation rubric, and manage an efficient online RFP process.

  • Evaluate Proposals and Select Finalists: We prepare a detailed comparative analysis that scores and ranks each proposal. We present findings and facilitate the selection of finalists (typically 3-4) for interviews.

  • Interview Finalists and Select Advisor: We prepare finalists and the search committee with interview questions and facilitate the interview and selection process. We support staff with logistics, reference checks, operational due diligence, contracting, fee negotiation, and board briefings.
